Ladies Opening Day - Brrrr

Ladies Opening Day took place on Saturday on a freezing cold day. Most ladies arrived at the Clubhouse but only 12 Bravehearts actually played and they all enjoyed the game. Does it prove the old saying Fortune favours the Brave?? Result a win for the Vice Captain's team so Moira Lumby retains the trophy for another year. We missed our Lady Captain and we all hope she is fit enough to play in the First Fling next week. It is bound to be warmer - after all it is officially Summer time next weekend Remember to book your time online if you are playing in the First Fling, 1pm on Saturday.

The Dirty Dozen at Loch Ordie

The Ladies' Winter Walk took place on Sunday 3rd March.  Twelve brave souls put on their boots and had a really enjoyable day. We took the path from Dowally up to the Loch and then walked round.  We were shedding layers on the way up when the sun was shining. After we had walked round the Loch it got a bit cooler so jackets were back on while we had our picnic lunch.   A real bonus when we got back down to find the Craft Centre open so we rounded off the outing with coffee and cakes. We deserved them after all our efforts.
