King Jimmy Ladies had their long awaited outing to Brechin last Saturday to take part in the Ladies Open. Forecast was good the sun was shining and summer trousers were order of the day. We started to tee off around 1.30 and we were warned there were a few patches of casual water. The 4th had developed a lake! Then the rain started and forgot to stop. It was torrential and the hailstones felt like bullets! Play was suspended while the green staff tried to clear the greens but their efforts were in vain when the rain started again and it was all hands to the pumps literally in the bar. They ran out of tonic and white wine but we had a great day and we will be backeither for the rescheduled date or for a free round! | |||||||||||||||||
